The homes in Waddell, AZ for the most part are sitting on
over an acre of land. This causes great
expense to the homeowner when installing driveways and hardscapes. One suggestion that we make to those
customers that may be on a tighter budget than others is to not try to complete
your entire project at once. For
example, if a customer has a concrete driveway in Waddell, AZ that measures out
to be several thousand square feet, that driveway can be poured in sections at
different times throughout the year. Most companies (including ours) have a job
minimum, so each time you pour concrete you want to make sure you pour the
amount of concrete that at least equals the job minimum charge. For example if a company has a job minimum charge
of $1600 and they charge $4.00sf for concrete, make sure you pour at least
400sf when you have the concrete installed.
The equation looks like this 400sf x $4.00 = $1600.00 (the job minimum
charge). It makes much more sense than
installing less square footage. Here is
the equation for 300sf of concrete installation for those that may not grasp
the idea of a job minimum charge. 300sf
x $4.00sf = $1,200, however the customer will have to pay the $1600 (the job
minimum charge) instead of the $1,200.
This is why it is important to maximize the amount you install if you
intend on installing your concrete in sections instead of all at once. If you would like to have a concrete driveway

Exposed Concrete Ribbons Pool Decking
Above is a picture of a pool deck that we installed with exposed concrete ribbons. This is a great way to break up the monotonous look of a large kool decked area. The ribbons were done in a colored concrete with an exposed finish, then sealed at a later date with a clear coat to accentuate the color. If you would like a free estimate for your own exposed concrete ribbon pool decking please contact estimates@monroyconstruction.com. ROC#246652
